Returns

This document provides you with the correct procedures for claiming your warranty, your rights as a customer to return a product and also governs the rules for these procedures. Please read them carefully and completely before purchasing goods from RC King Hobbies or attempting to make a warranty claim.
 
Receiving Your Order
 
When you receive your order, please follow these procedures:
 
 - Check that the correct goods have been sent to you. Make sure your invoice is correct.
 - Carefully unpack and inspect all merchandise, taking care not to damage the original packaging.
 - Do not throw away any of the original packaging materials, such as boxes, instructions, inserts, bags, etc., until you are satisfied with your order.
 - Please keep the supplied RC King Hobbies invoice or packing slip and shipping slip with your important records.
 - Enjoy your new product!

Read all instruction manuals before installing, testing & using your goods.

Returning Merchandise

You may only return goods for a full refund or request a refund within 5 business days of receiving your order providing all of the guidelines set out in this document have been met.
When returning merchandise, please make sure these steps are taken:
 
 - Notify RC King Hobbies via phone or email.
 - Include a photocopy of your original invoice.
 - Include a brief note explaining the reason for the return.
 - All returned items must be sent via prepaid shipping. Returns sent COD shipping will be refused.
 - Credit will be given only for items that we physically receive and inspect. To avoid any complications, be sure that you insure your return shipment.
 - Returns must be in brand new, mint condition where possible, in the original, undamaged manufacturer’s packaging including all packaging materials.
 - If damage occurred during transit, please do not dispose of the packaging or item. Contact RC King Hobbies immediately.
 - All items returned without fault will incur a 20% re-stocking fee.
This fee is not negotiable. Please choose your products carefully.

Goods Returned For Credit Or Repair & Restocking Charges

As more than 90% of all goods returned are found to be in working condition, we are forced to charge a minimum of $20.00AUD inc GST per hour (minimum one hour) for testing and returning non-faulty goods.
Testing and returning goods to manufacturers agents takes time and labour on our part, as well as incurring shipping costs back and forth.

These shipping cost are to be paid by the customer. We will not accept COD shipping and goods will not be accepted.

Restocking charges are catered for under ACCC guidelines for refunds of goods under warranty claims.

Warranty

It is IMPORTANT to contact RC King Hobbies immediately if you believe that an item is defective in any way and you believe a warranty claim needs to be carried out. Please read through this document and our Conditions Of Use before making contact.
 
Please note that product manufacturers provide their own warranty.
 
If parts are purchased from us and there is a fault during the warranty period that is attributable to a manufacturing defect, the parts are replaced or repaired. Warranty does not cover damage to goods caused by customers such as:
 
 - Misuse or ill-treatment.
 - Not following the manual or the correct procedures.
 - Tampering with manufacturer’s internal components or original settings.
 - Any consequential damage to other parts or the loss of data and general wear and tear.

 
 
Warranty Turnaround Time

Turnaround time for warranty claims largely depend on manufacturers or distributors response and availability of products. We will try our best to speed up the process.

Please understand the time involved for a warranty claim will include:
the time it takes for you to send us the item, our time to test the item, shipping back to the supplier, supplier’s own test and replacement/repair, and the shipping back to us then onto you, the customer.

On a estimate you can expect this process to take anywhere from 5 working days to more than Four weeks.

Shipping

Once we receive and confirm your payment we will set your product status to Sent or Payment Received. Once your product status is set to sent or payment received it will be shipped directly to you.

If  your product is lost / damaged while in post please contact us immediately RC King Hobbies do offer a product insurance option, this option is on most products and will cover any damages received through post. If you do not select product shipping insurance you will not get a replacement or a refund.

All Shipments are through Australia Post, if you would like a custom shipment made up or a bulk shipment please contact our sales staff at the contact page.

RC King Hobbies sends packages via accredited and nationally recognised carriers Australian Post (Australian Air Express) & Couriers Please. We do not accept COD. We do not deliver to PO BOX numbers.
